Homepage Search Bar

Send visitors from a compact homepage search to your full IDX results page.

A Homepage Search Bar starts the search journey from a homepage, hero area or landing page. Results open on your configured Full Search Page.

Set up the search bar

1. Create the Full Search Page first and publish its URL.
2. Use the Homepage Search Bar step in the guided widget setup, or create a search widget and choose the compact search display.
3. Configure the location, visible controls and appearance.
4. Enter the published Full Search Page URL.
5. Copy the embed and place it where visitors should start searching.

Test the connection

Select a location and submit the search. Confirm the results page opens with the selected criteria. If it opens the wrong page, update the destination URL in the search bar's settings.
