HomeThread

HomeThread brings your buyers, curated homes, listing feedback, conversations and showing plans into a private mobile experience in your brand.

Note

HomeThread is upcoming for iOS and Android, included with Pro, Brokerage, Agency Partner and Enterprise at app launch. EasyAgentIDX launches first. Starter remains widget-only. App download links will be published after release.

The client journey

  1. A personal invitation. An authorized agent invites their assigned buyer by email. The invitation link expires after 48 hours.
  2. Email verification. The buyer requests a six-digit code and verifies their own email. Codes expire after 10 minutes. A link or pending code request alone does not sign the buyer in.
  3. Search preferences. Six short steps capture name, location, budget, home type and priorities. Preferences save along the way and remain editable.
  4. A shared shortlist. Agents and buyers create collections within their existing relationship and add approved MLS homes.
  5. Useful feedback. Buyers react to homes, add notes and ask questions in the collection's conversation.
  6. The next showing. Buyers request a preferred time. The agent verifies availability and records a confirmation, decline or cancellation. HomeThread does not automatically book an external showing service.

Returning to a home search

Buyers use the email their agent invited. If a buyer works with multiple agents, they can add the agent's account email to choose the relationship, or select returning sign-in from an earlier invitation. They still verify their own email before receiving access. Inactive or unaccepted relationships cannot be reopened through returning sign-in.

Your brand

Configure supported business name, logo and primary color under HomeThread > Branding and assistant in your EasyAgentIDX dashboard when HomeThread is enabled. Authorized account defaults and agent settings supply the connected experience. HomeThread has its own default identity before a customer context is resolved.

Meet Eva

Eva is your HomeThread AI assistant. Give your assistant a different name under HomeThread > Branding and assistant. Your choice applies to your agent workspace, greetings and assistant tab. It does not rename your brokerage or change the buyer's experience. Choose Use Eva to restore the default. Each agent has their own setting.

Completed searches and client privacy

Open a client in the app to archive a completed relationship. Archive ends buyer access, invitations, notifications and automatic next steps. It preserves relationship history for later review. Resolve pending showing requests and upcoming confirmed appointments before archiving.

Use the Active, Archived and Review due directory filters to find clients. Directories use pages, not a total client cap. Existing plan seats and access rules still apply. Restoring a client keeps their history but requires a fresh invitation and email verification. Old sessions and invitation codes never reopen.

Archived relationships receive a review date 24 months after archive. This is a product review point, not an automatic deletion deadline or a legal retention requirement. Keep personal data only for a disclosed, justified purpose. MLS content follows the applicable data agreement separately.

Your agent dashboard shows the number of reviews due. Open an assigned archived client in the app, or choose Review history in your customer dashboard. Record a purpose, choose another review in 6, 12 or 24 months and select Save review. A changed review must be refreshed before another save. Reviews do not reopen buyer access or restore MLS rights.

Export personal history includes the selected relationship's contact details, preferences, collection names, personal text messages, feedback and showing notes. It excludes listing data, photographs, AI comparisons, agent private notes and private assistant history. The app prepares all pages in a temporary private file, then opens the device share sheet only when you choose to export. Save it securely. Large histories can be exported in the app without holding the full file in browser memory.

An assigned agent can separately choose Delete client personal data for an archived relationship. Permanent deletion requires its own confirmation. Review applicable record-retention requirements before confirming. A retention review never deletes data automatically.

Archive is not personal-data deletion. Buyers can choose Manage my personal data on the client sign-in screen and verify their email for deletion controls, even after archive or an account downgrade. If the same email has several relationships, the agent email or invitation ID selects the relationship. Verification does not restore search or messaging access.

Confirmed deletion removes the selected relationship's contact details, preferences, personal messages, assistant history, comparison output and delivery records. Remaining relationship and MLS records follow their applicable policies. Deletion does not remove a buyer's separate relationship with another agent.

Next steps for buyers

Buyer collections show useful next steps from current shared homes, reactions, messages and showing requests. These prompts are separate from your private agent assistant and do not consume AI requests.

  • Compare favorites. Two or more homes have positive feedback. The buyer reviews the selection before requesting a comparison.
  • Request a showing. A home has positive feedback and the collection has no open showing request or upcoming confirmed appointment.
  • Review fresh homes. Shared homes are waiting for the buyer's first reaction.
  • Review preferences. The latest three reactions were passes. Changes still require an explicit save.
  • Write a reply. An agent update has been waiting at least an hour without a newer buyer reply. The buyer writes and sends their own message.
  • View home facts. Current available listings supply asking price, size and city details. This is not a valuation, forecast or neighborhood recommendation.
  • Explore homes. An empty collection offers a path to home search.

Choose Not now to dismiss a next step. Dismissals persist for that collection and activity signal. Changed activity can produce a new next step. Up to three prompts appear at once, using the latest 100 available homes. Larger collections show that context limit and retain their normal controls. Prompt actions recheck current access. Comparisons still require separate MLS AI permission and use the shared account allowance.

Your next steps

The agent dashboard brings useful activity signals forward with a direct path to the relevant client or collection. Suggestions use your assigned buyers' actual activity rather than guessed intent.

  • Plan a showing. Three or more homes have positive feedback and the collection has no pending showing request.
  • Prepare a check-in. A buyer has been inactive for at least two days, with no recent agent follow-up.
  • Review preferences. The latest three home reactions were passes.
  • Create a collection. An activated buyer has no shared shortlist yet.
  • Find homes. No homes have been added to a collection in seven days.
  • View activity. Five or more buyer updates have arrived in the last 48 hours.

Dismiss a next step or choose Tomorrow to snooze it for 24 hours. New relevant activity can bring a fresh suggestion forward. These checks do not use your AI request allowance. Suggestions are private to the assigned agent and never post themselves into a buyer's conversation.

Approved MLS data

Search, collection homes and listing details use your active, approved EasyAgentIDX MLS connection. Board-specific display and retention rules continue to apply. HomeThread refreshes listing references through current permissions and withholds MLS content when those rights are unavailable.

Notice

An approved website feed does not remove MLS restrictions on a custom app. Use the approved context, required disclosures and current listing state. Do not redistribute screenshots or cached data outside the rights granted by your agreement.

Messages and notifications

Messages are stored durably through EasyAgentIDX. Live updates prompt the app to reload authorized content. Collection conversations include read receipts and temporary typing indicators. The inbox shows unread messages across your collections. The HTTP experience remains available during a realtime interruption. Native notification delivery is part of the upcoming iOS and Android release and depends on device permission and current account access.

Notifications use generic lock-screen text. Opening an update checks the collection's current permissions before displaying it. Delivery is best effort, not a guarantee that every device shows every update.

Concierge and comparisons

Choose a client and, when useful, a collection. Eva can summarize their preferences, recent messages, reactions and showing requests, prepare a follow-up draft, or search your approved MLS homes using objective criteria. Home results link to the existing listing detail and sharing controls.

Review and edit a draft, then choose the intended collection to send it. You can select message text to copy it, export a draft with the native share sheet, refine it, or resume an owned conversation from history. Conversations can be renamed or deleted. Deleting assistant history does not remove messages you already shared with a buyer.

Search preferences are changed only through an explicit review and save. Showing preparation leads into the existing request and confirmation flow. Eva does not automatically message buyers, add homes, change preferences or book appointments.

Supported listing analysis and comparisons require the MLS board's separate AI processing permission, not just display approval. Listing-based assistant responses carry source timestamps and expire with the applicable data rules. Refresh the referenced homes if the source expires or access changes.

AI usage

Your account shares an allowance of 200 AI model requests per calendar month across agents, assistant conversations and property comparisons. A tool-assisted conversation turn may need up to three requests. This is a request allowance, not 200 conversations per agent. Responses and history are bounded, and uncertain failures can consume a reserved request. Check the conversation history before retrying.

AI availability depends on the app release, account access, platform configuration and the applicable MLS permissions. A missing AI connection does not disable the underlying home search, messages or manual collection controls.

Building connected products

The public Platform Resources API currently provides scoped HomeThread collection summaries when the app is released and your account is entitled. Native invitation, identity, messaging, feedback and showing flows are separate verified-actor contracts. An ordinary integration key cannot impersonate a buyer or call protected app workflows.

See Platform Resources and API authentication for the operations currently documented. Broader programmable collaboration is tracked separately and is not implied by access to summary reads.

Privacy and account controls

Verified buyers can request identity deletion from the app's profile. The operation anonymizes supported personal records and removes the buyer's sessions and registered devices. Retention and support handling follow the published privacy policy.

Agents manage their EasyAgentIDX account in the customer dashboard. Mobile sign-out does not cancel a platform subscription.
