AI connections through MCP

Bring approved website data into your AI workflow. MCP lets a compatible client request structured information from EasyAgentIDX after you sign in and approve the connection.

Before you connect

  • An active Pro, Brokerage, Agency Partner or Enterprise account.
  • A verified website with an active, approved MLS feed.
  • Your own verified customer login and a role that permits the requested information.
  • A compatible remote MCP client with OAuth support. Its subscription and workspace policies also apply.

Your account must have at least one MLS board approved through EasyAgentIDX. MCP uses that existing approval once the feed is active and connected to your verified website. No separate MCP approval is needed. Existing valuation reports require your website’s active Home Valuations add-on. Starter is widget-only.

Connect your account

  1. Open your AI client’s custom remote MCP connection settings.
  2. Enter https://app.easyagentidx.com/api/mcp and select OAuth authentication.
  3. Sign in to EasyAgentIDX. Complete two-factor verification if enabled.
  4. Check the requesting service and its callback domain, then choose your website and review the read permissions. You can deselect optional categories.
  5. Approve the connection and return to your AI client.

For ChatGPT, follow the current custom MCP connection guide. For Claude, follow its remote connector guide. Availability and menu names can differ by subscription and workspace.

What you can ask

  • “Find active three-bedroom homes in La Jolla below $2 million.”
  • “Show the new leads from this website.”
  • “Review this lead’s saved searches before I follow up.”
  • “Show the existing valuation reports for this website.”
  • “Summarize my website’s search activity over the past 30 days.”

Your AI client reasons over the permitted results and can prepare a summary or draft. EasyAgentIDX supplies the data. AI-generated wording is not an MLS fact and should be checked before sharing.

Your access stays specific

Each connection belongs to you and one selected website and feed. It follows your current subscription, role and permissions on every request. Assigned agents only receive their assigned website leads. Billing-only and internal employee accounts cannot create customer MCP connections.

Agency clients need the API product access delegated by their agency. A connection does not create access to other client accounts, billing administration or white-label settings.

Notice

Approving a connection allows the selected information to reach your chosen AI provider. Review that provider’s privacy and retention settings before sharing client information. Removing the connection stops future EasyAgentIDX access. It does not remove information the provider already received.

Manage or disconnect

Open AI connections to review the website, permissions, expiry and last use. Account owners and admins can disconnect their team’s connections. Other users can disconnect their own.

Authorization lasts up to 30 days. To change the website or approved permissions, disconnect and reconnect from your AI client. Subscription changes, suspended feeds and permission changes can make some tools unavailable immediately.

Reconnect from your AI client

Disconnect the existing connection in EasyAgentIDX. Remove or reconnect it in your AI client, using the same MCP address. Sign in again and approve the website and permissions for the new connection. Reconnecting creates a new approval rather than changing another active connection.

What the connection can do

MCP is read-only. It does not send messages, modify leads, create valuation estimates, change billing, administer accounts or export full data sets. HomeThread is separately released and is not included in the first MCP tool set.

The connection shares the selected website’s API request allowance. An AI client may make several tool requests to answer a question. Multiple connections do not create additional capacity.

Troubleshooting

  • No eligible website: Check your plan, verification, feed status and role. Ask your agency administrator about delegated access if you use a client workspace.
  • Listings are missing: Check that your MLS board is approved, its feed is active on the selected website and listing access was selected when you connected.
  • A tool disappeared: Check whether the account, role, feed or add-on changed.
  • Connection expired: Remove it in the AI client and reconnect.
  • Too many requests: Wait for the shared website allowance to reset.
